Services of positron emission tomography

On the basis of “Republican Scientific-Practical Center of Oncology and Medical Radiology named after N.N. Aleksandrov” the republican center of positron emission tomography was put into operation.

The positron emission tomography combined with the computer tomography allows to conduct the early special-purpose diagnostics of oncologic, neurologic and cardiologic diseases and assign the individual program of treatment for each specific patient.

The combination of the positron emission tomography allows to assess anatomical and functional damages of human’s organs and organism system, to detect in the first place metabolic and morphological changes. Approximately within a half hour the full scanning of human organism takes place, and the result is output as a 3D model with a maximal detalization.

The positron emission tomography is carried out by the super modern high technology equipment which only big world clinics have.
