● Skin cancer
The most common forms of skin cancer are basalioma or basal cell skin cancer, epidermoid skin cancer, metatype cancer. Basal cell and epidermoid skin cancer make up approximately 90% of all malignant skin tumors. Pigment xerodermia, Bowen’ disease, Paget’s disease refer to the obligatory precancerous skin diseases. Actinic keratosis, cutaneous horn, keratoacanthoma, chronic dermatitis and long open ulcers refer to the facultative precancerous skin cancer.
For diagnostics of skin cancer the cytological and histological examinations are used. The roentgenographic examination of thoracic cage organs, ultrasonic examination of abdominal cavity organs and regional lymph nodes, computer tomography of the affected area are used for establishing the sings of tumor metastasing and establishing the disease stage. The main methods of treatment of skin cancer are the surgical method and radiotherapy, each of them is used both independently and as a combination. At skin tumors of small sizes the cryogenic treatment, photodynamic therapy can be used.
● Skin melanoma
Melanoma is a malignant tumor and is formed of modified melanocytes which in their normal state are responsible for the production of melacic pigment. Melanoma is one of malignant tumors which possesses the strong lymphogenic and hematogenous metastasing. The modern diagnostics and melanoma treatment play an important role because its metastases are difficultly treated.
