List of diagnostic investigations:
● electroencephalography by using computer analysis methods ● visual induced potentials ● acoustic stem induced potentials ● somatosensory induced potentials ● cognitive induced potentials ● cutaneous sympathetic induced potentials ● vestibular induced myogenic potentials ● echoencephaloscopy ● electroneuromyography ● Holter monitoring of electroencephalogram
At present for diagnostics of neurological diseases there is a wide set of diagnostic methods. Some of them are generally accessible, the other exist only in specialized centers:
● computer tomography – by ionizing radiation we receive high resolution pictures in different planes, as well as three-dimensional reconstruction of received sections. Computer tomography is indicated at the suspicion of congenital anomalies of the central nervous system, tumor detection, craniocerebral trauma and infections.
● magnetic resonance tomography is based on the use of nuclear magnetic resonance of cell nucleus. Tomography allows to visualize with high quality brain, spinal marrow and other internal organs, examine the organ function – to measure the blood flow velocity, cerebrospinal fluid flow, to determine the diffusion level in tissues, to see the cerebral cortex activation.
